Publication and teaching
The communication of research results takes place in speech and writing, above all to priests, chaplains and teachers of religious education. This includes: Published works, speeches, conferences and study meetings. A special task is the education and training of experts in the ecumenical field. Academy and community events are also part of the work.
The institute released and releases the following publications:

The Academic teachings and lectures extend to:
- Lectures/Seminars at the Theological Faculty and the Seminary of Paderborn
- Lectures/Seminars at the Catholic University Paderborn
- Ecumenical Seminars in association with the University of Paderborn
- Education and training in Seminaries all over Germany
- Intensive Course in Ecumenism for the training of ecumenical staff of the german dioceses in the Möhler-Insitute
- Ecumenical study days
- Talks in academies and in adult and further education (priests, teachers of religious education etc.)
Since Summer 2013 the Möhler-Institute looks after the scholarship holders from Orthodox Churches on behalf of the German Bishops Conference (before: Ostkirchliches Institut Regensburg)
