Projects

The Johann-Adam-Möhler-Institute has a variety of different tasks, ranging from the research on non-Catholic churches and faith communities to dialogues with them and to courses and lectures concerning the ecumenical movement.

In the moment, we are working on the major project "Ökumenische Kommentierung der 95 Ablassthesen Martin Luthers" ("Ecumenical Commenting of the 95 Indulgence Theses of Martin Luther"). We took part in organising and conducting the Luther conferences in Erfurt 2014 and in Rome 2017.

The dialogue with the Free Churches and the Orthodox Churches are only two examples for our intensive engagement promoting mutual ecumenical understanding.
